(1994) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works between Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk. She graduated with a master's degree in 2018 in Krakow, and studied with Myroslav Yaremak, Yurko Borynets, and Vasyl Stefanyshyn for several years in informal education. In 2023, she entered the master's program at the Faculty of Ceramics in Lviv. Together with the artist Mariana Hlynska, she co-organized the Abracadabra festival in Ivano-Frankivsk region, and also co-curated exhibitions and events at the art space apartment "Nyzova, 11". In her practice, she mixes painting, photography, and performance. Zoryana's artistic interest is centered around ceramics - its materiality and multivariance, the multiplicity of possible influences on clay during the work. She works with bizarre and expressive images, not avoiding mythologies and colors. These images are full-bodied and densely fill the space - this presence is not an end in itself or an artistic statement, but rather a characteristic and side effect of the artist's way of working. Zoriana speaks of influences and transformations - less through the products of her artistic activity, more through her lifestyle and practices, and her focus on process.

The image is inspired by reflections on the absurdity in which the protagonist lives in an attempt to have a “normal” life. A burden in the form of stones hangs over their head, spilling onto their face and filling their eyes. It creates a mask with a tight smile in which everyday life is lived. Behind the character is a brass mask, similar to an ancient mask of the dead – as a reminder that death is very close.
