Oleksii Podat

Oleksii Podat is a music producer and composer. He works with experimental/power electronics, noise and ambient. Podat describes his sound as “melodic noise,” which contains naïve, dramatic melodies that loop and flow into heavy, raw, rumbling structures. His music is largely based on field recordings, which he later distorts beyond recognition, giving them new, personal meanings. He created music and sound design for the Kyiv’s Molodist International Film Festival, films Live outside CV (2021), 100% Discount (2023) by Sashko Protiah, silent films Vampire (1932), Double Love (1925) and various installations.
