Was born in 1982 in Luhansk (Ukraine). He graduated from the Kharkiv Aviation Institute as an engineer in unconventional and renewable energy sources. He is an artist and musician working with new media, sound, and video art. In 2008, with the artist Lera Polianskova, he created the SVITER art group to fulfill sound and performative ideas. Together with Lera Polianskova and artist Ivan Svitlychnyi, he co-founded Shukhliada Exposition Environment, an online platform for independent curatorial projects (2013), as well as the Photinus School and community, which aims to develop new media art in Ukraine (2018). In 2019, Max initiated the _mediaklub group based on the idea of an open visual and sound environment. In 2022, as part of the Shukhliada Exposition Environment project, he won the State of the ART(ist) competition at the Ars Electronica festival. Max’s works were exhibited at the following exhibitions: The 57th Venice Biennale (2017), transmediale 2018 (Berlin), Digital Cultures Festival 2019 (Warsaw), Ars Electronica Festival 2022 (Linz), etc. Since February 2022, he has served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
