Affiliated Professor of Comparative Literature and Romance Philology at the University of Munich; previously taught at Columbia University New York, the University of São Paulo, Université Paris-Diderot, Tel Aviv University among others. Editor of a book series called Neue Subjektile with the Viennese publishing house Turia+Kant publishing titles at the intersections of poetic thought, psychoanalysis, and philosophy; two recent publications are the First Dream by the Mexican baroque poet and nun Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz and a commented edition of Freud’s The Question of Lay-Analysis. Translator and editor of several works by Maurice Blanchot into German. Author of a book on Proust and Kant, a collection of essays on Georges Bataille, and many articles in the fields of literature and psychoanalysis. Co-editor of the journal RISS. Zeitschrift für Psychoanalyse. Currently concluding medical training at the Charité Berlin while continuing to defend of the concept and practice of “lay-analysis.”
