Ihor Okuniev
Ihor Okuniev is a multimedia artist working in various media including photography, video and sound, inspired by his interest in Ukrainian culture, nature, ethnography and folklore. The first solo exhibition was at the invitation of Haus Der Kunst Museum for Terrace Hall as part of "Tune" in 2022 in Munich, Germany. With the sound work - "Land". The work was also shown at other exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.

Camouflage, a pale red light in the night on the steppe. A light to become invisible; to distinguish humans from machines. An attempt at a defensive gesture. Or an attack. The aim is to preserve the body heat. To secure the heartbeat. To face the threat and be able to retaliate. To remain a space of hope – so as to maintain hope. To have memories of events you hope will never happen again.
