(1992). Transmedia artist, social designer and activist. I work with the problematic of global landscapes of crisis. In my practice I use imaginative, radical cartographies, and directs them by decolonizing approach. I’m focused on the areas of joint acting where collective topographies can appear. I use the medium of water as a base for moving images works. My long-lasting approach is to investigate the borders – those actual, politically established and those imaginative ones, frontlines of digital medium as well. I explore areas of meta-territory.

The exhibition by Polish artist Patrycja Plich, which resulted from her stay in Sorry, No Rooms Available residency in Uzhhorod (2017), was summarized with the words: “If every movement in time and space defines a path, then here, every path defines a text. However, the text itself is also in constant motion and changes over time.” The author, who works with poetic text as one of the main mediums, created an installation for a preset space: barely visible inscriptions appeared in the dark corridors of a hotel on the fourth floor. Indicated by a dim flicker of light, they told stories about loneliness and expectations, searching and traveling, transitions, and life choices. After the exhibition, it was decided to leave the work in place, and it became an integral part of the hotel. Over time, some of the inscriptions disappeared, while others remained intact. Rediscovered in times of war, when uncertainty and the search for new meanings define our lives, these texts acquire a new sense, asking questions that are sometimes difficult to ask ourselves.
